Detailed information was uncovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls revealing an ancient Biblical calendar system that preceded rabbinic methods of Judaism by centuries. When the legitimate high priests of the "sons of Zadok" were forced out of the temple at Jerusalem by the Seleucid authorities and hostile, illegitimate priests, they found safe haven in Qumran. While there, they did an incredible job of documenting and preserving the sabbath calendar system. Our book, "The Biblical Calendar Then and Now" further explains this ancient sacred calendar - its history, its congruence with Scripture, and how it functions. Here we are offering you an accurate representation of the Zadokite way combined with today's modern methods of tracking time.


Our American Sabbath Calendar is a 3-in-1 calendar, with the American or Gregorian months as its primary basis. Zadokite dates and Jewish Hillel dates are noted secondarily on each day. All Biblical Feast Days, weekly and annual Sabbaths, American holidays, and other Jewish or Christian religious days are also noted.

  • The 12-month version starts on March 1st and actually goes through thirteen Gregorian months to cover the 12-month Zadokite year ending in March of the following year.
  • The 15-month version starts on January 1st and goes through fifteen Gregorian months ending in March of the following year, thereby including the full American Gregorian year and the full Zadokite year as well.


The merit of the American format lies within its convenience for determining Biblical Holy Days on the more familiar basis of the Gregorian calendar in modern use around the world today.
