* Chanukkah and Purim are strictly cultural and religious celebrations of the Jewish people. Neither of these holidays are appointed in the Torah, nor are they present in the Zadokite priestly record of the Dead Sea Scrolls. However, there is certainly no prohibition in the Torah for celebrating Chanukkah or Purim by Believers who choose to do so. Therefore in our opinion, they should be observed according to the officially recognized calendar of the Jewish people with proper respect to their traditions and culture. Consequently, these two holidays are not reckoned by Zadokite Sabbath Calendar dating, and they are highlighted on our calendars according to the dating of the Hillel Jewish calendar.
Chanukkah begins the evening of December 25,2024 and goes through January 2, 2025.
Purim begins the evening of March 13, 2025 and goes through March 14, 2025, or through March 15, 2025 in Jerusalem.
